Academic & Career Advisor/Corporate Test Coordinator (Independent Contractor)

Serve as Corporate Test Coordinator (CTC) by managing the state and local testing programs, which includes the training of school staff, distributing and collecting test materials, analyzing test results, and presenting information to parent groups, administrators, the School Board, and community groups. Assist with the review and analysis of high school transcripts, academic scheduling of students. Assist the school administration with the development of career pathways for students.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guides students through the development of educational and career plans for grades 6-12
  • Provides ongoing coordination and expansion of career pathways exploration and career education for all students 6-12
  • Works with special education staff to ensure accommodations are made for students with 504 or I.E.P.’s when administering state testing and/or related instruction
  • Coordinates College and Career Readiness programming which includes 21st Century scholars and College and Career Readiness activities
  • Responsible for coordination, management, and implementation of all state-mandated student testing
  • Assists students in evaluating their skills in order to help them determine what they need to do next to achieve their goals
  • Assist with the review of high school transcripts and the academic scheduling of students
  • Work with school administration to collect, compile and analyze data from the state and local testing programs
  • Summarize testing results in an effort to identify strengths and weaknesses of instructional programs
  • Present testing information to parent groups, administrators, teachers, the School Board, and the community through workshops and meetings
  • Provide support and assistance to all schools to address testing needs and concerns
  • Implement changes from the Indiana Department of Education and update training packets for administrators and other school staff
  • Train school staff who are responsible for test administration
  • Serve as a resource to schools regarding testing questions and concerns as well as data analysis
  • Attend assessment workshops, conferences and regional meetings regarding testing.
  • Serve as a resource for Indiana state reporting

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with state certification in guidance at the high school level and a minimum of three-years of successful experience in 9-12 education
  • Training and experience with advising high school students academically
  • Training and experience in testing and data analysis
  • Training and experience with transcript analysis and student academic scheduling
  • Training and experience with the Graduation Pathways Options
  • Working knowledge of the Graduation Pathways Options

Special Education Counselor (Independent Contractor)

The Special Education Counselor will serve as a vital member of the education team. The position will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting student support team and committees; communication with teachers, administrators etc.
  • Identifying students at risk/implement effective referral and follow up policy
  • Involved with student enrollment process
  • Evaluate information obtained from record reviews and ascertain befitting resources needed
  • Interactive online sessions providing individual and small group counseling services to students/families
  • Provide support for academics, personal success, social pressures and parental concerns
  • Address topics about bullying, disabilities, low self-esteem, poor academics, and relationship troubles
  • Monitor student academic performance, behavior and attendance and facilitate interventions
  • Assist with college applications, jobs and scholarships
  • Maintaining accurate records

Skills/Requirements

  • Indiana Resident
  • Indiana Licensed Counselor
  • Preferred special education experience
  • Online knowledge preferred

Special Education Social Worker (Independent Contractor)

The Special Education Social Worker will serve as a vital member of the education team. The position will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist student support team and committees; communication with teachers, administrators etc.
  • Involved with student enrollment process
  • Identify students at risk/ implement effective referral and follow up policy
  • Interactive online sessions providing individual and small group services to students/families
  • Serve as a connection for students and indirect services/system supports
  • Support students with academic learning
  • Tackle issues such as poor school activity, lack of motivation and life skills
  • Progress Monitoring of students through activity logs and pacing guides; appropriate interventions when needed
  • Maintaining accurate records

Instructor (Part-time)

The Instructor is responsible for providing a student-centered educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. The position is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program in accordance with INVS policies that result in students achieving academic success. The Instructor is required to work collaboratively to plan, prepare, and implement instructional activities to engage and facilitate student success in a virtual environment. The Instructor tracks and analyzes student performance data and develops learning plans using resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. The Instructor is responsible for providing high quality assessment feedback so that students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for growth.

Skills / Requirements

  • Online teaching experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Valid Indiana Teaching Certificate
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Indiana resident preferred

Student Services Representative (SSR)

Looking for people who are passionate about helping kids with their education. Work with an amazing group of people who love what they do!

Hours: 12:30 - 9:00 PM M-F. Candidate will be required to work Saturday's on a rotational basis. When a Saturday is scheduled, you will have one day off during the week.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding to inquiries and providing information regarding the school to prospective students and families.
  • Guiding students and families through the enrollment process: Provides information regarding requirements and schedules. Ensures that all forms are complete and that all required documents are submitted. Communicates timelines and answers questions. Completes enrollment process by entering data into the system.
  • Providing ongoing support and encouragement to current students and families. Answers questions and responds to concerns. Works to understand and define needs; provides information regarding related resources. Facilitates communication with appropriate instructor or school administration as necessary. Follows up to ensure that needs are addressed. Documents communication and activity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year related experience in Customer Service, Education, or related area.
  • Microsoft Office proficient; comfortable with technology.
  • Interpersonal skills; Ability to build relationships
  • Customer service orientation
  • Bilingual - Spanish a plus, not required.

Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: 2 years
  • Customer Service, Education, or related area: 3 years

Language:

  • Spanish Preferred

Shifts:

  • Mid-Day
